Speed depends on voltage and gear ratio. 48V DS with 6:1 gears: 22-26 MPH. With 8:1: 18-22 MPH. With 10:1: 15-18 MPH. 36V models run about 20% slower.
Yes! The gear change is purely mechanical in the differential and works independently of the IQ controller system. Your IQ system will continue to function normally.
Most DS models after 1997 use the Kawasaki-style differential. Check your cart's specifications or contact us with your serial number and we'll confirm which gear set you need.
